Migraine Tracker

A word about AI

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This tool was developed with the help of artificial intelligence. I would rather tell you what that means.

Who developed it

I have been a professional developer for almost 20 years. I could write this tool on my own; what I probably would not have had is the time. AI let me go much faster.

I remain responsible for the tool, for what it does and for what it does with your data.

What keeps the result sound

The tool is covered by more than 400 automated tests, and its code goes through an automated security check before I put it online.

I can be wrong, and so can AI. If you see a mistake, write to me.

The code is open

The tool's code is public, under the AGPL-3.0 licence: you can read it to check what it does, and reuse it under the terms of that licence. The name and logo "Migraine Tracker" remain mine.

You can also run your own copy on your own server: one container, one volume, and a step-by-step guide. You then become responsible for your data.

AI and your data

There is no AI in the tool itself: it does simple calculations on your pain and treatment days. Your data is sent to no AI service.

The health reference points

The thresholds and reference points come from published guidelines (International Headache Society, international classification of headache disorders, Belgian consensus). Their sources are listed on the "Understand my figures" page, once signed in.

The tool gives no diagnosis and does not replace a doctor.
