Privacy & Data

How is my data stored?
Your data is stored securely in our database. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your information. Your migraine logs, medications, and personal details are only accessible to you.
Is Migraine Tracker GDPR compliant?
Yes! We are fully GDPR compliant. You have complete control over your data:

Right to access: Export all your data anytime from Account Settings
Right to erasure: Delete your account and all associated data permanently
Right to portability: Download your data in JSON format
Data minimization: We only collect data necessary for the app to function
Do you share my data with third parties?
No, we never sell or share your personal health data with third parties. Your migraine information is yours alone. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Account Management

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from the Account Settings page. Scroll to the "Danger Zone" section and click "Delete My Account". You will need to:

1. Type the confirmation phrase exactly as shown
2. Enter your password

This action is permanent and will delete all your migraines, medications, and account information. We recommend exporting your data first if you want to keep a copy.

How do I export my data?

Go to Account Settings and find the "Data Management" section. Click "Export All Data" to download a JSON file containing all your migraines and medications. This file can be used for backups or to import your data later.

Can I import data from a backup?

Yes! In Account Settings under "Data Management", click "Import from File" and select a previously exported JSON file. Duplicate entries (based on date) will be skipped automatically to prevent data duplication.

Using the App

How do I track a migraine?
Click "New entry" from the Migraine Log page or use the calendar view to select a date. Fill in the details including the nature of the headache, intensity (0-10), whether you were on your menstrual cycle, and any medication taken. Click "Save migraine" to log the entry.
How do I manage my medications?
Go to Account Settings to find the "My Medications" section. Here you can add new medications by typing the name and clicking "Add". To remove a medication, click the "Delete" button next to it. Your medication list appears as options when logging migraines.
What do the statistics show?
The Statistics page shows visual insights including: total migraine count, migraines with/without medication, a 12-month trend chart, distribution by day of the week, and medication usage breakdown. These help you identify patterns and discuss trends with your healthcare provider.
